The Sony FX3A is a compact full-frame cinema camera designed for filmmakers, content creators, and videographers who want professional video quality in a portable form. It uses a 35 mm full-frame Exmor R CMOS sensor that offers cinematic depth of field, strong low-light performance, and wide dynamic range, ideal for creative video projects, short films, or documentary work. Its compact “cage-free” body is built for solo shooters and on-the-go filming, yet still powerful enough for high-end production workflows.
For video, the FX3A supports 4K UHD recording at up to 120 fps and Full HD up to 240 fps, giving flexibility for slow motion or cinematic motion capture. It offers internal 10-bit 4:2:2 codecs, external RAW output via HDMI, and supports cinematic colour profiles (like S-Cinetone, S-Log3, HLG / HDR) for professional-grade colour grading. Autofocus is fast and reliable with eye and subject tracking, and 5-axis in-body image stabilisation helps keep handheld shots smooth.
